ECU Testing Services

ECU Testing Services is proud to provide examination services through the ECU Testing Center.  This facility hosts a unique list of examinations and offers specialized proctoring needs to both ECU students as well as the Greenville community.

The ECU Testing Center is a state of the art facility that ensures security of the proctoring and examination process. It is equipped with surveillance cameras for your protection and to ensure academic integrity.

Weekday testing at the ECU Testing Center may be monitored with video surveillance to ensure and uphold academic integrity.

Online Learning, Academic Outreach, and Academic Innovation

The ECU Testing Center is a unit of Online Learning, Academic Outreach, and Academic Innovation. The Office of Online Learning, Academic Outreach, and Academic Innovation is a multifaceted office within the university engaging with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. The office respects, understands and responds to the unique demands of all types of learners and is committed to ensuring access, engagement, and success for those learners. The office supports the university in its leadership role in the areas of distance and technology enhanced learning, both in our region and beyond. The educational and economic development of the citizens of its service area is a focal point for the office.

The office conducts its activities in partnership with all units of the university and encompasses distance and online education, National Council State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements, Experiential Learning Inventory (ELI), the Testing Center, and Military Outreach. Additionally, the office serves as the centerpiece of ECU’s Collaborative for Online Learning, a campus-wide network of services and supports that provide points of access and engagement for both students and faculty in the online learning space with the stated end goal of ensuring success of all in the university online ecosystem.

Our Mission

East Carolina University Testing Center supports the university’s academic mission by administering college academic examinations, national examinations, professional certification, and university entrance exams to students and other examinees.  Examinations are administered in a consistent, professional, accessible, safe, and secure manner to uphold the highest level of testing integrity and customer service.  The functions carried out by the Testing Center must adhere to standards outlined by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC); National College Testing Association’s (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines; and contractual expectations of partnered testing corporations.
