FAQ

Where can I find study materials for the test I am taking?

Official study guides can be directly purchased online through the testing company.  Need help finding their website?  Check out our Available Test.

What score do I need?

We do not set score requirement, however we can help you find where to locate what score you may need.

If you are taking the ACT, GRE, or SAT, acceptable score are determined by the Admissions Office of school in which you are applying to.  CLEP and DSST are also determined by your institution’s Registrar’s Office.

How long does it take for me to receive my scores?

Most internet-based tests will provide unofficial results immediately after the test is completed.  It can take approximately 2-4 weeks for the official score to reach your designated institution(s).

What do I need to bring with me on test day?

Identification is the most important requirement that you must bring on test day.  Some exams sponsors may require two types of identification.

Some exam sponsors also require you to bring your admission ticket or voucher.  Please check test-day requirements for your specific exam.

Our center will provide scratch paper, pencils, earplugs, and headphones if acceptable by exam sponsor.

What do I NOT need to bring with me on test day?

Lockers are available for testing candidates that are taking the CLEP, DSST, GRE, Praxis, proctored exams, and Meazure Learning exams.

Food, beverages, electronic devices, other prohibited materials are not allowed in the testing room.  These items may be left in your vehicle or stored in a locker.

Where can I park on campus for my test?

If you are taking a test with us during the week, please view Parking on Campus that has information on how to obtain a parking pass.

If you are taking a test with us over the weekend, you may park on campus at no charge.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Most exams have to be paid in advance online.  However, if you are taking the CLEP, DSST, or a proctored exam, you will need to pay in advance with a Visa or MasterCard by calling our office.  Personal checks and cash are not accepted by the ECU Testing Center.

I’m not an ECU student, but need an exam proctored for my institution.  Can the ECU Testing Center proctor my exam?

The ECU Testing Center will proctored your exams if you are taking a course with another institution.  Please look at Proctored Exams under Available Test.
